Riccardo Mores
Freelance digital consultant, Milan. I help businesses, professionals and shops build ongoing digital growth, not just a website and that’s it.
I started out building websites. I stopped when I realised that my clients’ problem was not the lack of a website: it was the lack of someone to look after it afterwards.
I trained as a designer (IED, Istituto Europeo di Design) and my career has also taken me through Solutions Engineering and technical consulting roles in the enterprise world. That is where I learned to structure processes, not just to produce deliverables.
When I started working for myself, I noticed that almost all the websites I saw, including the ones I had built, were published and then left untouched. Nobody checked whether they were still working. That is why I built Trovavio: a tool that automatically monitors a website every week, instead of discovering problems months later.
Today I work with a deliberately limited number of clients, on a monthly basis, because it is the only way I know to do work that lasts.
